We’re still a week away from Thanksgiving, but a) it’s never too early to start eating Thanksgiving foods, and b) you still have a Turkey Day menu to plan. We’re here to help. We’ve got all the side dishes you need to pull off an amazing Friendsgiving, Thanksgiving, or you know, Wednesday night family dinner. Here are a few of our favorites:
Ginger Miso Acorn Squash with Almonds. We love love love all kinds of squash, and this is just the twist we think we want for this year’s holiday. This looks easy, unexpected with its Asian flair, and so full of flavor we’re already drooling. Yes please. Via Snixy Kitchen.
Stuffing Muffins with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy. Here’s another visual stunner to really make your guests ooh and aah over your festive table. Little muffins made of delicious stuffing topped with whipped mashed potatoes and a drizzle of hot gravy. These are going to blow your basic blueberry right out of the water. Corn Salad with Honey and Bacon. What’s that–three of our favorite things in one dish labeled a salad? We could not be more on board. It’s a salad, so it has to healthy right? Really though, this one had us at bacon. Via Country Living.
The Very Best Mashed Potatoes. They are an essential part of a truly grateful table. This is one of our favorite recipes. No explanations needed really. If you’re on the hunt for a recipe refresh, this is out. Via Epicurious.
The Best Sweet Potato Casserole. Another favorite. Another crowd pleaser. You may have a preferred method for sweet potatoes, but we really, really love this one. It eschews the marshmallow topping in favor of a streusel-type topping, and makes us feel like we’re getting our dessert early. Via Food Network.
What are your favorite Thanksgiving sides? The ones you can’t possibly eat roasted turkey without? The ones that make or break your holiday? Share with us in the comments! Our menu is still fluid…
